Iran vs. Portugal live stream: Watch World Cup online
By Liam Bekker
Iran face Portugal at the Mordovia Arena on Monday, 25 June 2018. Here’s all the info you need to watch the match online.
Iran head into their final Group B match with a genuine chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the World Cup. Tipped to end bottom of their group, Iran pulled off a last-minute surprise victory over Morocco in their opening match and then very nearly took points off Spain, only to be undone by a fortuitous goal from Diego Costa. With three points to their name, the unfancied Iranians know that a win over Portugal will see them advance beyond the group stages for the first time in their history.
Portugal are strong favorites ahead of the match though, even more so given the form of Europe’s greatest goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid star netted in both of Portugal’s World Cup matches so far and is the tournament’s joint-top goalscorer with four goals. He was also notably on the scoresheet when the two sides met at the tournament back in 2006; Portugal won 2-0. A draw would be enough to see them advance this time around but they will be looking to claim all three points.
