It appears the Houston Astros are unstoppable but don’t tell that to one of these teams capable of a potential October upset.

With this season nearing its All-Star break, we already have a pretty clear picture of who will be contenders for the championship this year. There have been a handful of surprises, both good (Atlanta) and bad (Baltimore).

However, one big question remains- with the defending world champs atop the AL West and the most recent power rankings, does anyone have a shot at dethroning them?

Actually, the World Series might be more wide open than you think.

5. Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee made big moves in the offseason, acquiring Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich to compliment a lineup with Ryan Braun, Travis Shaw, and Jesus Aguilar.

As a result, the Brewers have produced offensively, ranking third in home runs, second in stolen bases, and 7th in Batting Average, OPS, and Runs (among National League teams).

Their bullpen has also been a highlight, with relievers posting a 2.78 ERA on the season. Opponents are hitting a measly .216 against the ‘pen as well. While their pitching isn’t the strongest in the league, hurlers such as Chase Anderson, Jeremy Jeffress, and Jhoulys Chacin are all having excellent years.

They aren’t the favorites by any means but don’t count the Brew Crew out in October.
