Senegal and Colombia finish up World Cup Group H play in Russia with their match in Samara on June 28. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Senegal missed out on securing qualification to the Round of 16 when they allowed a late equalizer to Japan. That goal by Keisuke Honda snatched two of Senegal’s three points away in the table. As a result, Senegal remains level with Japan in the Group H standings. Now they have to earn at least a draw to guarantee passage through to the knockout stage.

Despite registering as one of the teams least inclined to execute a high number of passes, Senegal ranks middle of the pack in terms of shot generation. That is because Senegal is one of just three teams who attempt long balls on at least 20 percent of their total pass attempts. Relying on speed, the African side is inclined to move the ball up the pitch quickly with a minimum of touches.

Their opponent in the final Group H match, Colombia, needs to win to ensure a trip through to the next round. The South Americans opened the tournament with a surprise loss to Japan, after a handball in the box reduced their side to 10 men just a few minutes into the match. Colombia followed that up with a 3-0 rout of Poland that kept hopes of the Round of 16 alive.

One point won’t be enough to ensure passage through to the next stage due to an inferior goal differential. James Rodríguez suffered a calf injury before the start of the World Cup, but he looked back on track against Poland. Rodríguez assisted on two goals for the Colombians to secure the victory.

Both teams will be hungry for a result. Colombia entered the tournament as a dark-horse candidate, while Senegal have been a revelation throughout this year’s World Cup. Be sure to tune in on Thursday as they determine who goes through to the knockout stage from Group H.
