Washington Redskins: Dale Earnhardt Jr.

When it comes to NASCAR, the golden family are the Earnhardts. Dale Sr., or The Intimidator, ruled the sport for years, before actually losing his life on the race track during the Daytona 500 back in 2001 in the final lap. Dale’s son, Dale Jr. was actually in that race as well, and since his father’s death, he has carved out his own special place in racing history.

Off the track, Dale Jr. is an avid Washington Redskins fan, and his childhood dream was actually not to be a professional race car driver, but a member of the team. In fact, during races, Earnhardt Jr. actually has his crew relay the scores of the Redskins games to him over his headset, as most races take place on Sunday as well.

Whether on the sidelines, or on social media, Earnhardt Jr. is very vocal about his love for the Redskins. He is often seen donning Redskins gear, and when his daughter was born, he was actually sent Redskins gear.

The way he found out his wife was pregnant also has the Redskins all over it, as he was told by his wife after spending the day with the Redskins back in August of last year. He said the combination of the pregnancy and hanging with the team made the day “the best day of his life.”
