2. Luc Mbah a Moute

Another member of the Rockets team that pushed the Warriors to the brink of elimination in the Western Conference Finals, Luc Mbah a Moute would be a fantastic addition to Golden State’s second unit.

Even though he struggled in Houston’s series against Golden State — much of which had to do with him dislocating his shoulder on two separate occasions this season — Mbah a Moute had the best season of his career as a floor spacer, knocking down 1.0 triples per game at a 36.4 percent clip. It’s an important development for him because he’s the type of defender who is comfortable switching onto guards and forwards, and no team switched as much as the Rockets did during the regular season.

It’s therefore no surprise the Rockets were 4.2 points per 100 possessions better defensively when Mbah a Moute was on the court this season. They weren’t quite as dominant offensively, but they still outscored opponents by a larger margin with him in the lineup (10.6 points per 100 possessions) than they did with him on the bench (7.1 points per 100 possessions). He’d likely make the same impact on a Warriors team that switches almost as frequently as the Rockets do.

An added bonus is Mbah a Moute can play both forward positions and center, giving him the versatility to share the court with various player in different lineups.
