With the MLB Trade Deadline approaching, we take a look at one player for each team that is the likeliest to be dealt this season.

The Major League Baseball season is in full swing, and before you can blink, the MLB Trade Deadline will be upon us. There are many teams looking to make a run this season, and on the other side of the coin, there are many teams who are seemingly already out of it.

In this piece, we take a look at all 30 MLB teams, and one player from each that is likeliest to be traded. Contending teams will be looking for someone to come in and provide some magic down the stretch, as they look to separate themselves from the pack.

Arizona Diamondbacks: Patrick Corbin

The Arizona Diamondbacks were one of the hottest teams in baseball to start the season, but they have been looking pretty mediocre over their last 20 games or so. They need to get this thing pointed in the right direction, as there are some good teams in the NL West that are right on their tails.

The Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Francisco Giants are all over, or close to .500, which means it is time for the Diamondbacks to make their move towards separation. If they want to move a player to get some good assets back, they should look towards Patrick Corbin, who is going to be very popular in July.

Corbin is going to be a free agent after the season, and the time could not be better for them to move him to pick up some players who can help them on their race to a second straight NL West title. He is a very good pitcher, and at only 28-years old, he is certain to test the market if the team hangs on to him for the whole season.

The right-hander is in the top ten in both earned run average and strikeouts, so it would not surprise anybody if the team held on to him and utilized his skills to win the division. However, you always want to sell high, and if the expectation is that he is going to walk after the season, you have to get what you can now.

Corbin has not indicated what he is going to do in free agency, and the Diamondbacks have so much talent that he may want to stick around and try to win a World Series with the team. If he is made available during the trade deadline, the Diamondbacks will have more than enough suitors to choose from.
