WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/11/2018

 WAS @ ATL

The Mystics travel to Atlanta to take on the Dream at 11:30am ET. A win here would be huge for Atlanta, they currently sit 2.5 games behind the Mystics in the Eastern Conference. If the Liberty beat the Suns, Atlanta could be one step closer to the top of the standings. I expect this game to stay close and go above the point total.

KEY PLAYERS:

Elena Delle Donne – Once again EDD is the most expensive player on the slate today. She gets a decent matchup today against Atlanta in an up pace game. The Dream are giving up 7.5 rebounds a game to starting forwards. EDD and Toliver lead the league in minutes played per game over the last 3 games. I will have a good amount of exposure to both of them today.

Angel McCoughtry – Her usage rate of 29.1% is second in the league to Tina Charles. I don’t have much interest in her today. Her minutes have been dropping lately but her price has risen slightly. Since her nearly 70 point fantasy game against NY on 6/19 she hasn’t hit GPP value once,a trend I predict will continue today.

Tiffany Hayes – It will be interesting to see how the addition of Alex Bentley to the backcourt effects the rotation for the dream. She is the most expensive guard on the slate today, I don’t think I will be paying up for her. There are plenty of other options at guard in this game on both sides of the ball that you can save some salary with.

VALUE PICKS: Tianna Hawkins (FD)

NY @ CON

The Liberty and the Suns will battle it out in another Easter Conference game. Connecticut is averaging 86.5 ppg, the Liberty are giving up 83.9 ppg. The back court of NY is hard to nail down, CON will get shaken up with the return of Alyssa Thomas. and the trade of Alex Bentley. There could be some good value to pull from this game for GPPs but I won’t have much exposure to it for my cash lineups.

KEY PLAYERS:

Alyssa Thomas – Has been upgraded to probable for today’s game. I’m not gonna risk throwing her in my lineups today, but if you want to I suggest playing her on DraftKings where she is considerably cheaper.

Chiney Ogwumike – I would rather save some salary today and play one of the mid-tier options from the WAS vs ATL game (Breland, Williams, Sanders). Chi-Chi has a little more GPP upside than some of the other options but her minutes fluctuate too much to make her a safe cash play.

Tina Charles – I mentioned earlier that Charles has the highest usage rate in the league at 30.7%. The matchup isn’t great though, especially if Thomas returns. Her price jumped up 800 bucks on DraftKings, and she finally hit 8k on Fanduel. I won’t much expose to her today.

Jasmine Thomas – I like her price on Fanduel  and DraftKings today. NY is giving up 8 assists and 7 rebounds a game to starting guards. The matchup is nice, her ownership should be low, and she makes a find GPP play today.

VALUE PICKS:   Epiphanny Prince (FD) , Kia Vaughn (FD & DK) Jonquel Jones (FD) Layshia Clarendon (FD & DK)

WNBA DFS Lineup Advice – 7/11/2018

MIN @ IND

The Lynx are looking to get revenge after losing at home 71-59 to the Fever on July 3rd. Slyvia Fowles and Maya Moore has a combined total of 17 points in that game. I expect them both to bounce back today, especially if Brunson misses. Neither team plays at face past, or averages over 80 points a game. I don’t think the Fever pull off another upset today, but the spread is a little high IMO. This should be a low scoring affair that I won’t be pulling too many players from.

KEY PLAYERS:

Sylvia Fowles –  I’m still a little hesitant to play the stars from the Lynx in this game. Fowles has had a few bad games lately, but she is still one of the best key players on the slate and good GPP option. I think her ownership will be down, most people will play EDD today I think, or look at the point total and run. I won’t have a lot of exposure to Fowles today but I want her in a few of my lineups.

Maya Moore – She is in a little better of a spot today than Fowles, Indiana is giving up 7 rebounds a game to starting forwards. Her price has stayed high all of July though, and I’m not sure I am willing to pay it today. But fading the lead vote getter in the WNBA ALL-Star race 3 games in a row doesn’t seem wise. Also if you haven’t seen her on the cover of SLAM Magazine, you should check it out the issue.

Natalie Achonwa – My favorite Canadian and the biggest Ruffles fan I know could be a sneaky GPP play today. She had a big game out against the Lynx last time they played, putting up 17 points and 9 rebounds. Ochonwa and Candice Dupree are both in play for me today, but I won’t have much exposure to either one, especially not in my cash lineups.

VALUE PICKS: Cappie Pondexter (FD &DK ) , Cecilia Zandalasini (if she plays and Brunson misses) , Temi Fagbenle (if Brunson and Zandalasini miss)
