108. . OF. Colorado Rockies. Gerardo Parra. 2. player

A career .279 hitter, Parra is hitting .305 over the last season and a half for the Rockies. He has surely played more than anyone envisioned, as David Dahl just can’t stay on the field and is currently on the DL with a broken right foot.

Since the start of June, Parra is hitting .340 with 24 RBI. A .378 BABIP has helped, as he doesn’t offer much power (six doubles, two home runs over that span) or speed (1-for-3 on steal attempts since June 1). Surprisingly, his OPS is pretty markedly better on the road (.789) than at Coors Field (.688) this year.

Dahl may return right after the All-Star break, at which point the Rockies would probably like to get him some run as the every day left fielder if his body will hold up. That would shift Parra back to being a fourth outfielder, which is his rightful place but could also make him a tradeable asset coming off a relative peak in his value as a productive regular.

Parra is making $10 million this year, with a $12 million club option that carries a $1.5 million buyout for 2019. If the Rockies can pry a mid-tier prospect from someone for him, regardless of their direction in trade talks, they should do so without hesitation.
