  • 2x WAC Offensive Player of the Year (2009, 2010)
  • Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year (2011)
  • First-team All-WAC (2009, 2010)
  • First-team All-Mountain West (2011)

There are a lot of incredible players from Power Five conferences who didn’t make this list and there aren’t many players from the outside who did make it. Based on wins and losses, career statistical totals and consistency over a four-year career as a starter, it was impossible not to include Kellen Moore among the top 50.

Moore started 53 straight games from 2008 to 2011. Boise State only lost three games during that span and the three losses were by a combined five points. The Broncos were 3-1 in bowl appearances and 24-1 on the blue turf with Moore under center. Not only did he win, but he put together four 3,500-yard seasons for a total of 14,667 yards while completing 69.8 percent of his passes, including two seasons with a completion percentage over 70. Moore threw 142 career touchdowns at Boise State compared to only 28 interceptions.

His best season came as a senior when he completed 74.3 percent of his passes for 3,800 yards, 43 touchdowns and nine interceptions. For the third straight year, he finished in the top 8 of Heisman voting.

Bonus Fact: Boise State’s only loss in 2011 came against a TCU team that finished 11-2. It took a two-point conversion from the Horned Frogs with a minute left on the clock to pull off the 36-35 win. Moore was 28 for 37 (75.7 percent) for 320 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
