Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to be ready for training camp come July 25 after tearing his ACL in November.

In his seven appearances as the quarterback of the Houston Texans last season, Deshaun Watson appeared to be on track to be the NFL’s next terrific signal-caller.

Only a rookie, Watson threw for 19 touchdowns while dazzling with his athletic gifts. But in November, Watson suffered an ACL tear, ending his season and any playoff hopes for the Texans. The good news? Watson says he’s ready for Texans training camp when it starts next week.

Per NFL.com

"Questions begin to be answered next week when the Houston Texans report to training camp in Greenbrier, West Virginia. As for the first query, Watson told Good Morning Football‘s Kay Adams on Thursday night at the American Flag Football League final he expects to be ready when camp opens.“I feel great. I’m getting ready for next week when we report to Greenbrier and I’m gonna be a full-go,” Watson said."

According to the report, Watson has already shed his knee brace. Watson was also featured in a Texans video on their Twitter account, and he looks like he’s returned to form.

Even though Watson looks great in the video above, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Texans opt to move their second-year quarterback at a gradual pace. Why rush the most important figure on the team when you can eventually ease him into a couple of preseason games before kicking the season off in Week 1 against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium?

In the meantime, Watson can continue to rehab to get ready for practice next week. Even with the injury, big production is expected for this season and the future.
