5. Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

Following a disappointing rookie season, some fans were ready to throw the bust label on Rams quarterback and former number one overall pick Jared Goff. But fast forward just one year later with a new coach and a playoff appearance, and many of those sentiments have changed.

The Rams are LA’s new “it” item and after signing running back Todd Gurley and wide receiver Brandin Cooks to long-term contract extensions, the pieces are there to surround Goff with enough talent to find glory both on the football field and the cornhole pitch.

In just one season, Goff saw his completion percentage improve by nearly ten percent, meaning that he’s up to the challenge of a tough cornhole game even if he starts out missing the board. Provided that head coach Sean McVay continues to stay by his side looking like an extra on “Entourage,” he should have plenty of opportunities to achieve cornhole glory.

Another factor in Goff’s favor? He’s a product of Cal-Berkeley, who I’m pretty sure offers doctorate-level courses for hackeysack and cornhole, among other yard games.
