The Raptors golden era is in flux, it could come crashing down in a tidal fashion or it could soar to unseen heights. Winning 64 percent of their regular season games over the last five seasons, the Raptors have been a top organization over this stretch. However, one LeBron Raymone James was not sympathetic to the Canadian basketball plight.
Cursed with a market that historically has been shunned and neglected by NBA stars such as Marcus Camby, Kenny Anderson, and Alonzo Mourning. DeRozan will always be remembered as the force that turned the tide for the franchise, even if his peak never reached that of his predecessor (Carter).
The Raptors could take a huge step forward this season if Leonard lives up to expectations but if he’s not invested and the franchise fails to retain him, they will have no choice but to rebuild.
