Welcome to the Thursday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.

Once again we have two WNBA DFS games tonight starting at 7 p.m. ET.  Diana Taurasi was an absolute beast last night, scoring 37 points with 9 assists helping Phoenix pick up a win on the road. The Connecticut Suns burned the Liberty 92-77, no surprises there. I managed to place 25th in the main GPP on Fanduel, not a bad night. So now that I have tooted my horn a bit, let’s dive into today’s slate, find the best key players and value picks to build our lineups around, and go win some more money!!!

For those of you stopping by for the first time, I would like to thank you for checking out WNBA DFS Lineup Advice here at FantasyCPR.com Here is a brief summary of what I cover in each article:

The road to WNBA DFS success tonight starts in the Hoosier State. The late game looks like it will be a low scoring affair, with two tough defenses squaring off. That said, the player pool in this game will be deep, especially on the Wings side of the ball. There are plenty of ways to attack this game today, get creative.

7 p.m. ET   Dallas Wings (14-12)  vs. Indiana Fever  (3-23)  169.5 O/U  IND +8

DAL – Off rating  106.8   Def rating  101.7   Pace 82.3   Off ppg  88   Def ppg  83.6
IND – Off rating   94.4   Def rating  106.7  Pace 79   Off ppg  75.1  Def ppg  85.3

Key Players:

Liz Cambage – Cambage came close to missing this game because of suspension, but the WNBA rescinded her 7th technical foul and she is good to go against the Fever. LineStar has her projected to score 45.32 on DraftKings. She has been on a tear lately. If you want to get contrarian than go ahead and fade her, but if she plays well you will have a hard time making the money line if her ownership is as high as I expect it to be.

Skylar Diggins-SmithUSA Today has Skylar listed as questionable today, though I’m not sure why. There is no indication of this on Fanduel or DraftKings, so, for now, I’m not taking it too seriously. She get’s a good matchup today. LineStar has her projected to score 32.13 points on Fanduel. She is due for a bounce-back game soon, this looks like the night to start rostering her again.

Value Picks: Theresa Plaisance (FD & DK)  Kaela Davis (FD & DK)

LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 1: Candace Parker #3 of the Los Angeles Sparks and Sylvia Fowles #34 of the Minnesota Lynx battle for the ball during the second half of Game Four of WNBA Finals at Staples Center October 1, 2017, in Los Angeles, California.  (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) /

Sylvia Fowles and Candace Parker battle for ball during last years WNBA Finals. The Lynx has fought their way back into 2nd place in the Western Conference, with LA a half game behind them. Which one of these WNBA All-Stars will lead their team to victory tonight? Keep reading to find out.

10 p.m. ET    Minnesota Lynx (15-10)  vs. Los Angeles Sparks (15-11)  TBD

MIN – Off rating  100.7  Def rating  97.5  Pace  78.9   Off ppg  79.4  Def ppg 76.9
LOS –  Off rating  101.8   Def rating  98.8   Pace   78.1  Off ppg  79.5  Def ppg  77.5

Key Players:

Sylvia Fowles – Fowles will be going for her 15th double-double of the season tonight. LineStar has her projected to score 37.05 points on Fanduel. LA is tough on defense but if there is one thing the Sparks don’t do well it’s rebound the ball. Fowles should have no problem cleaning up on the glass today. Rebekkah Brunson makes a decent pivot for GPPs today.

Candace Parker – Parker was playing well before the break and she usually does great after getting some rest, but she’s up against one of the best interior defenders in the league. Parkers splits are better on the road, and there are too many unknowns for LA tonight. Nneka is expected to return, Beard is still questionable. I won’t have much exposure to the stars in this game, especially on LA’s side of the ball.

Value Picks:  Erlana Larkins (FD & DK)  Jantel Lavender (FD)

FINAL THOUGHTS

  1. The mid-tier options on this slate have more appeal to me today than most of the stars. I haven’t started building lineups yet, but I expect them to have more of a cash lineup feel today.
  2. Don’t forget about the forwards for Indiana today. Either Dupree or Achonwa is gonna have a good game today, I’m leaning towards Dupree.
  3. The only punt play I feel good about recommending today is Theresa Plaisance, and even she is risky, seeing as how it will be her first game playing this season. MIN has too many punts upfront to know who’s gonna get minutes and I still don’t trust LA.
  4. No point total for MIN/LA game yet, I’m expecting it to be around 164. Neither game has much DFS appeal, but if I had to choose (which I do) I would load up on the early game.
  5. Injuries that could impact the slate: Liz Cambage (doubtful) Skylar Diggins-Smith (Ques) Nneka Ogwumike (?) Alana Beard (Ques) Victoria Vivians (Ques)
