5. Wisaksil Wangek (Srisaket Sor Rungvisai)

Record: 46-4-1, 41 KOs

Sor Rungvisai has the best three wins of anyone on this list. The first of these is a victory over the then-consensus pound-for-pound No. 1, Roman Gonzalez.

Their first fight was a brutal brawl in March 2017. While most saw the fight as being very competitive, the general opinion was that Gonzalez did enough to win.

However, the judges favored Rungvisai’s aggression and awarded him a victory. Due to the controversy, the two fighters had a rematch in September of 2017, and Rungvisai left no doubt.

He earned a devastating one-punch knockout over the pound for pound king, showing the boxing world that he was a force to be reckoned with. Following the wins over Gonzalez, Rungvisai followed up by fighting the next best fighter in the divison, and a borderline top-10 fighter pound for pound, Juan Francisco Estrada.

It was a very exciting fight which saw Sor Rungvisai earning a well-deserved majority decision. Having three consecutive victories opponents of such high quality is more than enough to earn a spot in my top five pound-for-pound.

As for the four losses on his record, three of them came in his first five fights, and the fourth came at the hands of Carlo Cuadras in 2014, who is one of the best fighters in the lower weights and was undefeated at the time of their fight (in 2014).

Next fight: Sor Rungvisai just had a homecoming fight last month and does not have any future fight slated at this time.
