1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Rodgers has been fantasy gold as long as he’s on the field. The big question mark is whether or not he will be able to stay healthy throughout the season. Losing Jody Nelson is also something that could case a dip in Rodgers production.

However, he’s still a big-play threat who limits turnovers and can provide some points with his legs.

2. Tom Brady, New England Patriots

It was a tumultuous offseason for the Patriots, but Brady is back looking to wash the taste of a Super Bowl loss out of his mouth. Brady is still an elite player despite his age and should have another strong season.

New England lost some important pieces to the offensive puzzle this offseason. Brandin Cooks was traded, Danny Amendola signed with the Miami Dolphins and Julian Edelman is suspended for the first four games.

Brady is now working with a group that includes Chris Hogan, Rob Gronkowski, Eric Decker, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson.

3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

I moved Brees up a couple spots in may rankings based on his consistency and the Saints surrounding weapons. Losing Mark Ingram for the first four games should also help Brees’ fantasy numbers.

The Saints are going to put the ball in his hands and let him distribute the ball to the likes of Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas.

4. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson is in a tough situation on a team with a questionable offensive line and iffy playmakers. Doug Baldwin’s injury only further complications Wilson’s value. The one thing holding up Wilson’s ranking is the fact that he has played at a high level in similar circumstances.

5. Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans

Watson’s amazing stretch last year is what everyone hopes to see again this season. However, he’s still working  his way back from a knee injury and only has seven NFL starts under his belt. It’s save to assume he will have some growing pains through the year.
