Fandom starts young, something a Houston Astros fan proved by learning batting stances not long after learning to walk.

You’re never too young to be a fanatic. Whether it’s getting introduced to Star Wars as a kid or shooting hoops at the park, certain things just seep into our lives and become part of our fan DNA.

That’s the case for one Houston Astros fan, who has skipped from learning how to walk to learning every single batting stance of the players on his favorite team.

Lilly Gorman posted a video of her son who has already memorized the batting stances of each Houston Astros player. Memorized seems like an understatement because this kid as nailed spot-on impressions of his favorite players.

Not only has he memorized them, but he also already looks like a future Major Leaguer with his swing.

That’s right, a two-year-old is out there in the world with more swing swagger than most of us can ever dream of having.

Beyond this being something viral that we can all watch to take our minds off of the terrible things happening every day in the world, at its core, this is what sports fandom is all about. We have, at some point in our lives, been this kid. Playing in our house or backyard, pretending to make a game-winning jumper like LeBron or throwing a touchdown in the Super Bowl like Montana.

We often look back at clips of superstar players in today’s game of when they were kids doing things like what this youngster is doing. There’s a chance that in 15-years we’re looking back at this as he takes his first at-bat in the Majors. Even if we don’t, the fandom he has is symbiotic with the joy this clip is bringing to everyone in his Astros family, not just blood-relatives.

At the end of the day, that’s what being a fan is all about. Some fans just also happen to have a killer swing.
