Eagles fans are holding their breath after Nick Foles, the Rock of Philadelphia, strained his shoulder during their second preseason game.

Nick Foles is hurt, once again.

This time, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and savior of last season strained his shoulder in the second quarter of the Eagles preseason game against the New England Patriots. According to NBC Sports, Foles was sacked by Adrian Clayborn and he fumbled the ball.

That wasn’t the immediate concern for Philly fans, though, as after Foles went to the turf, he immediately grabbed his right arm and quickly made his way to the medical tent.

This was not the sight that Eagles fans wanted to see.

Foles is their hero, their Rocky, and just like see Rocky get bloodied up by Apollo Creed in the first “Rocky,” it was a horrific sight for Eagles fans to see their hero hobbled. There were some who were wondering why he was playing in this game, anyway, given the fact that he missed the first preseason game with an upper-body injury.

It’s just the way the football Gods works, we guess.

Now the question is, how much time will Foles actually miss? Given that Carlson Wentz is still a huge question mark for being ready for Week 1, that will leave the Eagles with Nate Sudfield as the potential starting quarterback for Week 1.

Let us extend our condolences right now to Eagles nation.

Look, when you’re the defending Super Bowl champs, things will seem a lot harder, and it may seem that the football Gods are always finding a way to work against you; well, maybe except the Patriots, who always, seemingly, find a way to skirt the NFL laws.

dark. Next. Big Ben never had a concussion

Nevertheless, here’s hoping that Foles’ latest injury isn’t that bad, because the Eagles may be in a pretty big pickle if that’s the case.
