The Giants and Lions will tangle in NFL preseason action tomorrow. Find out what time they will play, what network they’ll be on, etc.

The New York Giants and the Detroit Lions will tangle in preseason action on Aug. 17, and for Giants fans, it will be a game that will present some interest.

Coming off of a disastrous season that questioned how much longer Eli Manning has left in the tank, but the Giants re-tooled their team this offseason in the hopes of returning to contender status in the NFC East.

The one obstacle that could stand in the way of that goal is the health of their star wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., who returned to the practice field recently and has proclaimed that he is 100 percent back from ankle surgery.

For the sake of the Giants offense, he better be right.

When: Friday, August 17
Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Watch on TV: WCBS (NY), WJBK (Detroit), NFL Network

Don’t think that this preseason tug-of-war won’t be interesting for the Lions, either. Detroit is looking like a team that has all of the chess pieces together to make a run in the NFC, only to either:

A) Falter in the Wild Card Game or,

B) Not make the playoffs at all.

This is becoming frustrating for Lions fans, who are salivating at the chance for Matthew Stafford to finally lead this team to the promise land — or, at least the NFC Championship Game.

Is this too hard to ask, Detroit? Can you give the fans that, instead of perennial disappointment? Like what has been the norm for the past four seasons?

Next. Eagles can't change Carson Wentz's timeline. dark

In short, both of these teams have a lot to play for, and a lot to prove, which makes this preseason game a much enticing matchup on a Friday night.
