The preseason matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings will give viewers a chance to see some stellar defense.

In week two of the preseason we get to see a little more action from the starters. This means that someone like Kirk Cousins could get an extra series or two. Obviously, the Minnesota Vikings will be extremely cautious in trying to avoid injury.

How to watch

This game will be available on the NFL Network (TV) and the NFL Gamepass at 8 p.m. ET. You can also stream the game through a TV provider like DirecTV by logging in on the NFL’s main website. However, the Gamepass might be the most reliable streaming option, as it often has bugs. FuboTV also has every NFL preseason game with a free trial.

Jacksonville– the Jaguars are doing something very different in that they will be streaming all their preseason games live via their official website. You can also download the app and watch it on the go.

Minnesota– the local channel FOX 9 – KMSPD will be broadcasting the game.

Preview

One big thing to watch this weekend is the Jaguars wide receiver rotation. They seem to still be working out the depth chart with at least one starting spot up for grabs. Marqise Lee seems save as one starter with the competition coming in the slot and the other outside spot.

Keelan Cole should have an inside track as he was the team’s best receiver late last season. He’s someone with big-play ability while also capable of working the underneath routes.

DeDe Westbrook has drawn positive reviews during training camp and is someone who could work well out of the slot. Rookie D.J. Chark’s speed is something that can’t be matched by the other receivers on the roster. Jacksonville will absolutely want to take advantage of his skill set.

The Jaguars game Donte Moncrief a $9 million deal which should put him in line for some targets. However, he’s been injury prone and very inconsistent throughout his career.

For the Vikings, keep an eye the chemistry between Cousins and his starting receivers. Both Stefon Diggs and Adam Theilen are capable of putting up big numbers, but one will emerge as Cousins’ go-to target.

Kyle Rudolph is also in the running to be Cousins main target, as Cousins heavily utilized the tight end position while in Washington.

Rookie seventh-round pick, Leon Jacobs, has pushed himself into the starting lineup at the strong-side linebacker spot. He’ll need to continue to perform in order to hold onto the job.
