1. Taywan Taylor, WR, Tennessee Titans
The biggest winner of the week was Tennessee Titans wide receiver Taywan Taylor. The speedster zoomed to 95 yards and two touchdowns on just four receptions. He should have solidified his job as the No. 2 receiver with Rishard Matthews still yet to return from injury.
Taylor’s rookie season was quiet as the Titans ran an archaic and inefficient offense. With the Titans entering 2018 by going with more spread alignments, Taylor’s going to have the opportunity to create with the ball in his hands. That plays to his strengths better than using him as a token deep threat.
Next: Best NFL player from each state
Watch for this offense to become much more varied and unpredictable this year. The backfield duo of Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis is an ideal platoon. Having both Taylor and Matthews as receivers who can play inside or outside will greatly benefit offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur’s ability to create mismatches.
