2. Cardiff score first Premier League goals of season against Arsenal

Cardiff have had a tough start to the season, although it’s not been a disaster for Neil Warnock’s side. The Bluebirds have taken two points from a possible nine but they’ve only conceded two goals in their first three matches.

What the Welsh side really need is to start finding the net themselves. While their defense has proved resilient their attacking line hasn’t been nearly potent enough to survive in this league.

They could find it difficult to make a dent in their zero goals tally this weekend as they host Arsenal side, who are fresh off a first league win under their new manager. However, what Cardiff do have on their side is the Gunners’ defensive instability.

In each of Arsenal’s games so far they’ve looked dodgy at the back and it seems they’re lacking a leader to keep them organized. That won’t be a long-term problem for Unai Emery’s side, but while it is Cardiff can thrive off it.

Warnock’s first priority in this match will be not to lose. The Cardiff manager won’t mind if his team don’t score this weekend if they can take any points.

However, while that’s certainly the case Arsenal might make it easier for the newly-promoted side. Expect Cardiff to break their goal scoring duck this Sunday.
