Loser: NFC North favorites

Before this trade, the NFC North was a three headed monster. Last year’s division champion Vikings, Aaron Rodgers, and the perfectly competitive Lions. The Vikings made their splash in signing Kirk Cousins. The Packers are getting a healthy Aaron Rodgers back as well as two new first round corner backs. The Lions may have finally found their running back in Kerryon Johnson.

Well, now there is a fourth team in the mix. The Bears. It is safe to expect that the Bears will have a solid offense now that Trubisky has a number 1 receiver in Allen Robinson. With the acquisition of Mack, we can expect the Bears to have an amazing defense.

As previously mentioned, Vic Fangio is going to have a lot of fun with his defense. He can mix up coverages and blitzes as much as he wants. In doing so, he will hope to confuse quarterbacks and have a lot of sacks for his team.

In a division with Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford, making opposing quarterbacks uncomfortable is going to be extremely important for the Bears to have a successful season. Now, with Khalil Mack, that becomes a lot easier.
