Texas and Maryland will go head-to-head in the season opener for the second consecutive season. A look at how to watch this Big 12-ACC action online.

The college football season started on Saturday, Aug. 25, but the Power Five teams will go into action on the first day of September. Everyone will look for a chance at the 2019 College Football Playoff, but first, there’s a 12-game regular season, with Week 1 featuring Texas vs. Maryland.

In Tom Herman’s first season as the Longhorns head coach, he led them to a 7-6 record, with the seventh win in the Texas Bowl. However, in year two, expectations will increase, especially as Texas sits at No. 23 in the rankings to open the season.

In 2017, Maryland shocked Texas with an opening weekend win, curtailing early expectations for a bounce-back season. In this home-at-home series’ second game, though, will the Burnt Orange manage to overcome the previous year’s defeat?

Sam Ehlinger will take the quarterback position for Texas, one year after he and Shane Buechele split the duties, due to inconsistent play and injuries. Can Ehlinger lockdown the job in his sophomore season?

Maryland football remains in flux as the season starts. Due to the death of Jordan McNair, head coach DJ Durkin was placed on administrative leave and sent the program into an unknown state for the 2018 season. With the investigation into the tragedy ongoing, will it impact the on-field performance on Saturday?
