Running Back: Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

@ Oakland Raiders 10:20 pm Monday 9/5

FanDuel Cost: $9,000

The entire Rams offensive unit looks like solid fantasy plays for week one. Oakland just doesn’t have a ton of talent on defense and the Rams offense is a well-oiled machine. Gurley himself is a stud and should put up huge numbers.

His ability to contribute as both a runner and pass catcher increases his value. The Rams know he’s a big-play threat and work to get him the football.

Gurley’s FanDuel cost is high, but he is someone worth this amount. Add him to your roster and let him anchor your lineup. He’s guaranteed to get plenty of touches and is more than capable of producing a big game.

Running Back: Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals

@ Indianapolis Colts 1:00 pm Sunday

FanDuel Cost: $6,900

Mixon is a prime breakout candidate for the fantasy community. He’s an exceptional athlete who brings versatility. His week one matchup against the Indianapolis Colts creates a favorable environment for success.

Look for the Bengals to get him the ball in both the passing and running game. The only cause for concern is the presence of Gio Bernard who the Bengals also like to work into the action. However, Mixon is the top back and should get a majority of the workload.
