Week one of the NFL and fantasy football season will have plenty of surprises and exciting moments so buckle up.

The start of the NFL season typically offers some intriguing storylines. There’s always some unexpected developments that change how we look at some teams. These surprises have a major impact on fantasy football.

My bold fantasy football predictions for week one have several that could have season long implications.

The big storyline right now is the Le’Veon Bell situation. Nobody knows when or if he’ll be reporting to the team. This has put the Pittsburgh Steelers and fantasy owners in a tough situation.

Those who used some foresight likely picked up James Connor as a handcuff but the rest will have Week 1 problems.

Specific matchups also played a big role in my week one predictions. There are a few quarterbacks who have a chance to put up big numbers based on the defense they will be facing. Someone like Andy Dalton could get off to a very fast start taking on the Indianapolis Colts.

My bold predictions are things that could be useful for both season-long and daily fantasy. The daily fantasy crowd might want to take a chance on someone like Dalton while avoiding Aaron Rodgers this week.

For season-long owners, keeping an eye on James Connor’s performance against the Cleveland Browns could have major upside.

After a long offseason we are finally ready for some football. All the hard work studying the trends will now get put to the test in week one of the fantasy football season.
