Aaron Rodgers, after being taken away on a cart against the Chicago Bears Sunday night, returned to action to lead the Packers to a comeback victory. After all that transpired, Rodgers insists he will play next week.

The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears helped kick off the 2018 NFL season in dramatic fashion with the Packers winning 24-23 in a comeback for the ages. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was carted off the field in the second quarter with a knee injury, only to return after the half. The two-time MVP then led the Packers to victory after trailing 20-0. Even with only one healthy knee, Rodgers insists he’s playing next week.

"After the stunning comeback, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told NBC’s Michele Tafoya, “I’m playing next week.”Rodgers, teary-eyed as he talked about the comeback for the ages, explained that, yes, he has a knee injury but, no, he didn’t let it stop him from returning to the game on Sunday night."

Rodgers play appeared to elevate once he returned to the action. He completed 17-of-23 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns, with 75 of those yards coming on the game-winning touchdown throw to Randall Cobb. Rodgers heroics just adds to his comeback portfolio and more justification to why Rodgers is considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play.

The Packers face another NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings, this week. The Vikings defense will be every bit as menacing as the Khalil Mack-led Bears were on Sunday night and then some. In the meantime, the Packers will probably do everything possible to make sure Rodgers is good and healthy in the next six days. Being great for one night is excellent, sustaining it is legendary. It’s something Rodgers has had no issue doing.
