America’s Got Talent host Tyra Banks announced this week that BTS will perform on the Sept. 12 episode of the show.

The popular NBC competition show, now in its 13th season, airs twice a week. Performers compete against one another on the Tuesday telecast, while the results air Wednesdays. The Sept. 12 episode featuring BTS will be the final results show of year before a champion is named Sept. 19.

The South Korean boy band is taking over the world, and will next week take over one of America’s most popular television shows. BTS just released its third record, “Love Yourself: Answer,” on Aug. 24 and it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. The group is seemingly following in the footsteps of fellow international boy band One Direction to rise to huge fame in the United States.

So it’s no surprise BTS would take to a competitive reality show to perform as they continue to gain stronger footing in this country.

If you’re looking for a little surprise BTS might bring to their “America’s Got Talent” debut, look no further than their latest release. The K-Pop band this week released a remix of their single “Idol” with a new Nicki Minaj verse.

Bringing Minaj out with them would certainly give their performance a bump, though at this point it’s likely they don’t even need it.
