NFL betting guide: 5 best wagers for Week 2
1. Keep burying the Bills
There’s no question who the worst team in the NFL is this season. Even after just one week of football, it’s obvious the Bills are the bottom of the barrel. The fact that they’re only getting 7 points against the Chargers this week really surprised us.
That could always be a Vegas trap, but let’s not overcomplicate matters here. If Nathan Peterman plays the line can’t be big enough to back Buffalo. Expect Josh Allen to get the nod instead, but he’s a really bad NFL quarterback at this stage of his career. No matter who lines up under center, they’re going to spend most of this game running for their lives behind the Bills’ weak offensive line.
The Chargers will enter this game knowing it’s a must win. They lost by 10 points to the Chiefs in Week 1, but dropped passes by the Los Angeles wide receivers made that score look much worse than it could have been. Philip Rivers and company definitely feel like they gave that game away.
The Chargers won’t let that happen two weeks in a row. Seven points isn’t insignificant, but the Bills were blown off the field by Baltimore last week. Does anyone really think the Ravens are better than the Chargers?
We don’t, and that’s why taking the Chargers is the right play here. It’s very possible we’ll keep burying the Bills until they prove us wrong. It won’t be this week.
