No. 9 James Conner vs. Kansas City

Conner x2 on Sunday? It’s a yes from us. Thirty-one carries later, Conner dominated the second half against the Browns last week. One-hundred-and-thirty-five yards and two touchdowns on the ground to go with five catches for 57 yards. Conner isn’t Le’Veon Bell when it comes to pass catching but if he can take some pressure off Ben and let him get going, he should make some bigger plays against the Chiefs.

Coming off the first tie of the season, Pittsburgh is looking to bounce back. Facing a Chiefs team off to a fantastic start to the Mahomes era won’t be easy and could set this game up to be another slugfest.

Conner in the pass game will be the most interesting space to watch though. It’s been noted all week that Bell’s catching out of the backfield is missed. Conner is no slouch in the pass game but whether he can make a larger impact on a need-be basis remains to be seen. That’s why he’s at 10 this week. He can find space in this matchup as these passing attacks heat up and if he can make an impact in the pass game, he’ll back up last week’s great performance.
