Oklahoma vs. Iowa State preview, odds, prediction, TV channel, live stream
Oklahoma and Iowa State clash on Saturday morning for both teams’ first Big 12 Conference games. Here is all you need to know to watch this weekend.
Conference play is getting underway around the country and two in the Big 12 meet this week. The Oklahoma Sooners led by electrifying quarterback Kyler Murray head to Ames to take on the Iowa State Cyclones. The Sooners are coming off two dominating wins, while the Cyclones are looking to rebound from a loss to an in-state rival.
For the first two weeks of the season, Oklahoma has looked like a team capable of making another College Football Playoff run. The Sooners come into this game ranked fifth in the latest AP Top 25 poll and off of a 49-21 win over UCLA. Lincoln Riley’s offense is in high gear, averaging 567.5 yards through the first two games. Unfortunately, Oklahoma will be without one of their best players the rest of this season. News broke earlier this week that running back Rodney Anderson suffered a serious knee injury against UCLA and will miss the rest of 2018.
Iowa State has had an inauspicious start to their season. On opening weekend, the Cyclones were set to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Scott Frost’s debut. Unfortunately, mother nature had other ideas as the game was cancelled due to a heavy lightning strike. The team did play last week, losing to Iowa on the road 13-3. The Cyclones’ offensive attack struggled to get going. Quarterback Kyle Kempt threw for 126 yards and standout running back David Montgomery only accumulated 44 yards on the ground.
For Oklahoma, this is a rather important game. Last year the Cyclones stunned the Sooners in Norman, winning 38-31. The loss was the only blemish on their record during their run to the College Football Playoff.
Saturday’s game will be shown on ABC, meaning fans will also be able to stream this one live on ESPN Plus with a TV subscription login. As an alternative, the game can also be streamed on Fubo TV with a paid subscription.
