1. Dallas Cowboys

Concerns about Dallas’ lack of proven talent in the passing game bore fruit in Week 1 against the Panthers, as Dak Prescott failed to top 200 yards through the air for seventh time in his last nine games. A vanilla game plan from offensive coordinator Scott Linehan didn’t help things, but that invites a chicken-or-the-egg, lack of talent vs. limited play-calling, scenario as much as anything.

From the team’s glory days in the 1990s to Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory more recently, character concerns or off-field troubles have been of little importance to Cowboys owner/general manager/lead czar Jerry Jones. So that automatically puts them in the mix for Gordon, who has them on his immediate short list of preferred teams.

The Cowboys need a talent influx at wide receiver, sooner rather than later. Gordon instantly goes to the top of the list of available options based on talent alone, with only Dez Bryant really close to him. Barring a shocking reunion with Bryant, Gordon may be headed for Dallas in short order.
