It was a wild weekend in the Pac-12, as USC was trounced by Texas, Arizona State was upset, and the UCLA Bruins continue to struggle under Chip Kelly.

The Pac-12 brought some exciting football this past weekend, as the teams start to ramp up before the conference schedule really begins.

The only Pac-12 matchup on the slate in Week 3 was between No. 10 Washington and Utah, with Washington proving to be just too much for the Utes in a 21-7 victory.

Here are our Pac-12 power rankings after Week 3 of the college football season.

The Chip Kelly Era continues to be a struggle for the UCLA Bruins, who could not pick up their first win of the season this past weekend. The Bruins struggled all game long to corral Fresno State quarterback Marcus McMaryion, who accounted for five touchdowns in the team’s 38-14 victory inside the Rose Bowl.

For the Bruins, this is not the start they would have wanted under Kelly, who was such a dominant figure in college football during his time at Oregon. This team is struggling on both sides of the ball, and while Kelly should be able to get some solid recruiting classes in eventually, it is looking like the 2018 campaign is going to be his worst as a college football coach.

The Bruins have a solid future at quarterback in Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who threw for 151 yards and a touchdown against Fresno State. He also had nearly 50 yards rushing, and being only a freshman, you have to think he is just beginning to unlock his potential, especially with an offensive-minded head coach like Kelly at the helm.

The Oregon State showed their never-say-die again this weekend, but they missed their field goal late, and falling to Nevada on the road by the score of 37-35. The Beavers continue to show that they can put points on the board, and after years of struggling as a program, they may be turning the corner as a competitive team in the Pac-12.

Oregon State started Conor Blount in the game, but he was replaced by former starter Jake Luton down 30-7. Luton proceeded to lead the Beavers to four touchdowns, and had Oregon State in place to win the game when Jordan Choukair lined up for the 33-yard field goal that eventually hit the upright.

Luton finished the game with nearly 300 yards and a touchdown, and looked good in his return to the lineup after leaving the season opener with a concussion. Jermar Jefferson rushed for 106 yards and two scores for the Beavers offense, which has scored at least 31 points in every game this season, including 31 in a season-opening loss to Ohio State inside the Horsehoe at Ohio Stadium.
