Benfica face Bayern Munich at Estadio da Luz on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Champions League group stage begins this week with Benfica hosting Bayern Munich in Lisbon. Benfica have been a fixture in Champions League over the past decade but have only got out of the group stage three times in the past nine years. Bayern have reached the semifinal in four of the past five seasons and expect to make it to at least the semifinal again this season.

Benfica finished second last season and had to qualify for Champions League by beating Fenerbahce and PAOK in the playoff round. The Eagles have had a strong start to the season, winning three of four games and drawing with Sporting. Pizzi has had a great start to the season, scoring six goals in eight games this season.

Bayern have started the season with three wins in three games. Over the weekend, Bayern defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-1. However, the win came at a cost as Corentin Tolisso suffered a torn ACL and will likely miss the rest of the season. Full-back Rafinha also suffered an injury against Leverkusen. While Rafinha’s injury is not expected to be longterm, he will miss Wednesday’s game. Bayern have scored at least three goals in four of their five games across all competitions. Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, and Thomas Muller have each scored two goals this season.
