Isaiah Crowell wipes butt with football, throws at Browns fans (Video)

New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell spent four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, but after wiping his butt with the ball and tossing it at the Cleveland faithful, there’s clearly no love here.

For the most part, the New York Jets battle with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football has been a one-sided affair low on offense. While Browns fans are busy wondering why Tyrod Taylor is starting at quarterback over Baker Mayfield and missing Antonio Callaway whenever he’s wide open, the Jets are celebrating easy yardage on the ground.

This game also quickly became the Isaiah Crowell #RevengeGame, as the Jets running back scored the first two touchdowns of the contest. The second occurred on third down, and after Crowell powered his way into the end zone to give the Jets a 13-0 lead, he decided to taunt the crowd in truly disgraceful fashion.

Crowell took the football, wiped his butt with it, and then threw it at Browns fans. The officials didn’t let that obvious taunt go by without a penalty, and you can view the incident via CBS Sports’s Will Brinson here.

I can understand why Crowell might hate the Browns, but rubbing it in like that at the fans is just unacceptable. While the penalty isn’t significant in the grand scheme of things, giving away silly yardage to “make a point” is incredibly immature, and Crowell could have easily let his play on the field do the talking.

Still, it was a hilarious moment, and I can’t be too mad at Crowell for letting off some steam.

In Week 1, Crowell churned out 102 rushing yards on ten carries in primetime against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, and he was off to another fantastic start against the Browns. Crowell, who once shined with nearly 1,000 rushing yards on 4.8 yards per carry and 40 receptions in 2016 for the Browns, has settled in nicely as a key part of the Jets offense.

If Crowell can keep it up, then he and Bilal Powell can form a solid rushing duo, which will go a long way in supporting a passing attack led by the dynamic tandem of Sam Darnold and the scary-athletic Quincy Enunwa.
