We’ve got a huge Pac-12 matchup heading our way in Week 4 with Stanford vs. Oregon, and these are the best College GameDay signs from Eugene.
If you ever want to see the passion of college football fans, just let ESPN’s College GameDay head to the West Coast. With the 9:00 a.m. ET start time, that means that the fans have to get there before the crack of dawn, so you know that they’re going to be fired up if they’re willing to do that. Lucky for us at home, that’s what we’re treated to in Week 4 with a visit to Eugene for a matchup between the Stanford Cardinal and Oregon Ducks.
Stanford enters this matchup seemingly as the top team out of the Pac-12, having won their big test to this point over USC. Having said that, the Ducks might present a bigger test and may test the offense’s explosive ability. Bryce Love has had a down year to this point, so he needs to come up big under some bright lights.
The same about the bright lights can be said about Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert. He’s as talented of a quarterback as there is in college football, but he needs to step up in the big moments. Saturday night will certainly qualify as that, since a win over the Cardinal would ultimately put them in the driver’s seat in the Pac-12 moving forward.
With this kind of matchup, it was only natural that College GameDay would head to Eugene. And given that, it was also natural that the fans outside Autzen Stadium would be ready to make their voices heard with some great GameDay signs. But how good did they do?
