The latest Big 12 power rankings feature the downfall of multiple teams, due to the result of games from Week 4.

The Big 12 did not have a full conference schedule in Week 4, but most of the games provided an interesting result to change the look of the latest power rankings. That includes a tight battle at the top and a flurry of movement in the middle.

Oklahoma State lost for the first time this season, while TCU dropped its second consecutive game and might face trouble climbing out of this hole. Along with Oklahoma nearly losing to Army, it made for a chaotic weekend of football.

How did this impact the Big 12 rankings for Week 5, however? Did the Sooners lose the top spot?

Iowa State’s 2018 season has provided its positives and negatives. It started with a canceled game against South Dakota State, a low-scoring loss to Iowa and a contested game with Oklahoma to start the year at 0-2.

In Week 4, however, the Cyclones broke through and defeated Akron, 26-13. Not a convincing blowout win, but enough to put a win on the board and gain momentum as Big 12 play goes into full swing for the rest of the season.

In Week 5, Iowa State will look to stay ahead against a struggling TCU team, who lost two consecutive games. It’s on the road, though, where this team scored just three points in Week 2.

Kansas has faced an interesting schedule to start the 2018 season. They lost to Nicholls State, defeated Central Michigan, blew out Rutgers and scored just seven points against Baylor on Saturday.

The Jayhawks passing game only had 105 yards from Peyton Barber, but still found 89 yards on the ground from Pooka Williams Jr. Though, it was not enough against multiple contributors from Baylor in a 19-point loss.

Another test is on the way against Oklahoma State in Week 5, who lost for the first time this season in Week 4. With a high-powered pass offense, can Kansas keep up with them at home?
