This past week featured some big-time performances which has created some breakout fantasy football options to pick up.

One of the bigger breakout fantasy football performances from this past week who does show up on my list is Chris Carson. The Seattle Seahawks running back finished the game with 32 carries, 102 yards and one touchdown.

He also had two catches for 22 yards. The sure volume of carries is something that fantasy owners need to notice. Carson has clearly grabbed a hold of the lead running back job.

However, I still feel that rookie first round pick Rashaad Penny will eventual take over as the top runner. Aaron Jones is in a similar situation with the Green Bay Packers. He had a strong performance coming off a suspension, but will continue to share carries.

The players that appear on this week’s list sit as better long-term plays in my opinion. They either have better opportunities or have performed with more consistency.

Some of the players that showed up on last week’s list continued their success. Matt Breida had a good showing, but his long-term viability is in question with Jimmy Garoppolo’s injury. Things will be tough sledding for San Francisco if Garoppolo is out for the year.

Calvin Ridley had himself a huge game. He torched the New Orleans Saints for 143 yards and three touchdowns. He even finished with more targets than Julio Jones who also had a solid performance.

Ridley is a strong flex option for the remainder of the season and could obviously be much more.
