Secondary:Andy Dalton– 28.6% Ownership

Andy Dalton is the classic streaming quarterback that you never feel great about starting. I don’t recommend picking him up if you have a stud on our roster already but he’s a great option for bye weeks or if you rostered someone like Andrew Luck who hasn’t been what you expected.

Dalton has been very efficient through three weeks and has enough weapons on the roster to maintain a good pace in the right matchups. The main reason for adding Dalton this week is because the matchups coming up are juicy.

The Bengals see the Falcons, Saints, Bucs, Steelers and Chiefs. That’s as nice of a schedule as anyone has in the entire league and it’s just in time for the bye week blitz. Dalton has had his moments over the years of greatness that was preceded by head scratching decision making. This season he looks much more refined and on point with his throws and has taken advantage of less than stellar secondary play.

The next six weeks provide Dalton with a very soft group of cornerbacks that will give up a lot of big plays to Green and Boyd alike. Add Dalton if you need a bye week fill in and consider adding him long term over someone like Andrew Luck if you’re in a ten team league.
