FanDuel NFL: Best lineup for Week 4

Melvin Gordon, RB, Los Angeles Chargers vs. San Francisco 49ers

FanDuel Cost: $8,700

In this week’s lineup, I went with a cheaper option at quarterback. This allowed me to splurge in the flex spot with someone like Melvin Gordon. The Los Angeles Chargers continue to use Gordon as both a pass catcher and runner.

Los Angeles takes on the San Francisco 49ers this week who are reeling from the loss of Jimmy Garoppolo. Their offense is going to go through some growing pains which should lead to more three and outs.

San Francisco’s defense is allowing just under 100  yards per game, but that number could rise the more the defense is on the field.

Backup Option: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions

FanDuel Cost: $8,200

The Detroit Lions currently rank as the NFL’s worst run defense allowing nearly 150 yards per game. They lack the depth, talent and bulk along the defensive front to hold at the point of attack. Their linebackers are also undersized and aren’t as effective when working behind a weak defensive line.

This creates a perfect scenario for Ezekiel Elliott to dominate. The Dallas Cowboys are a run-first team that needs Elliott to get rolling in order to find success.

Dallas has had major troubles with their passing game in recent weeks which only puts more pressure on Elliott to perform. The Cowboys won’t hesitate to feed Elliott the ball early and often this weekend.
