Here’s how you can watch the Last Man Standing season 7 premiere “Welcome Baxter” online or the old-fashioned way right on your TV.

Last Man Standing returns tonight on its new home network FOX for its season 7 premiere at 8 p.m. ET. You can catch the season 7 premiere online via live stream with FOX’s official live stream or with a free seven-day trial at Fubo TV. Last Man Standing’s sixth season originally concluded back in March 31, 2017 with a 6.06 million viewer rating and was then surprisingly not picked up for renewal by then parent network ABC.

There will be two major cast changes on this season of Last Man Standing with daughter Mandy Baxter actress Molly Ephraim being replaced by Molly McCook and grandson Boyd Baxter actor Flynn Morrison being replaced by Jet Jurgensmeyer. Last Man Standing has replaced popular daughter characters before dating all the way back to season 2 when Kristin Baxter who was played by actress Alexandra Krosney in the first season, was replaced by actress Amanda Fuller. Many Last Man Standing fans lament Krosney’s unexpected departure to this very day for great reason as she gave an excellent portrayal.

It’s not to take anything away from actress Amanda Fuller who took the character and series overall in a bold new direction with her portrayal. Rather, becoming comfortable with a certain actor/actress’ portrayal and having them suddenly whisked away is jolting to viewers. Especially, on comedy sitcoms that are typically made to feel consistent and comfortable for the viewer to eventually watch in the goldmine that is syndication.

In this case though actress Molly Ephraim has been a center focus of the show for six seasons as Mandy Baxter, it’ll be a truly difficult adjustment for long-term fans of the series. EP Matt Berry told TVLine during this summer’s Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour what it was like to lose Molly as Mandy.

"“When the show was cancelled… [Molly] got involved in some different things, so when [Last Man Standing] came back, she was not able to do it. It’s unfortunate. We love her deeply. She’s a big part of who we were.”"

Losing Molly will be a tough, tough hit for the series, no question. As long as Tim Allen and Nancy Travis [Vanessa Baxter], the faces of the series and undisputed lead characters remain however, the show will always have a viable audience.

The series doesn’t mince words about thoughts on their previous lack of renewal on prior network ABC from the opening bell in the preview trailer. “Why would they cancel a popular show that everybody loves?” As the FOX logo flashes in the trailer, Tim Allen comments “Am I wrong, or is it like way better on this network?”
