Week Three saw dominant performances from lead backs with low start performances. What sleepers could help you this week?

We’re heading near the void. The beginning of the byes, injuries, etc. You’re probably wondering what sleepers could save your flex this week. You’re saying, “My late round draft picks aren’t panning out. FanSided save me in my league.” We’ve got you.

Let’s look at some long shot sleepers, some guys primed for big weeks and everything in between.

No. 10 Tavon Austin vs Detroit

It’s no secret that the Cowboys have no idea what they’re doing offensively. There’s one reason and one reason alone I like Austin as a deep sleeper: flexibility. Literally.

Austin doubles as a back and a receiver getting touches in both at times in Scott Linehan’s offense. The issue with Austin here is just how much will he be utilized and does that make him a worthwhile play. Three catches last week and one rush for a touchdown but not enough to carry a flex in an off week.

The Lions struggled against the run over the first two weeks giving up 363 yards and a trio of touchdowns. That changed last week, only giving up 87 yards on 18 carries to Patriots backs. Austin is high-risk, medium-reward this week. I think his versatility is something the Cowboys need to use more, especially if they’re playing from behind.
