Bournemouth have got off to a better than expected start, picking up 10 points in their first six games. On Monday, Bournemouth host Crystal Palace at Vitality Stadium. After losing three straight games, Palace have picked up four points over their last two games.
After an impressive 4-2 win against Leicester at home, Bournemouth were easily defeated 4-0 by Burnley last weekend away from Vitality Stadium. Only six games into the season but the Cherries have proven to be a very different team at Vitality Stadium than they are away. In their three home games, Bournemouth have scored eight goals. Ryan Fraser leads the club with three goals, while Callum Wilson and Joshua King have both scored twice. The trio will lead the attack against Palace.
Crystal Palace were held to a scoreless draw last week against Newcastle. While Bournemouth have got off to a better start at home, Palace have got off to a better start away from Selhurst Park. The Eagles have won two of their three games on the road this season.
Palace’s success this season is dependent on Wilfried Zaha. The speedy winger leads the club with three goals and continues to drive their attack. However, if Palace are going to finish in the top half of the table, the club needs more from Christian Benteke. The Belgian striker scored 15 goals in his first season with Crystal Palace but has looked lost ever since. Since the start of last season, Benteke has scored only three goals.
