Golden Tate, Detroit Lions – $6,700

The Detroit Lions have been a team full of ups and downs. New head coach, same old Lions. One bright spot over the years has been Golden Tate. He’s reliable, steady and dependable. In Week 4 against a Dallas Cowboys defense that ranks fifth-overall, Tate set season highs in catches, yards and touchdowns. He scored twice, one on a 45-yard catch and run in the first quarter and the second on a 38-yard scamper in the fourth.

Tate has proven he is a must-play each and every week regardless of the opponent. His high floor has proven to be a difference-maker through four games. Tate is averaging 97.25 receiving yards, seven receptions and 11 targets per game. Tate has managed 389 total receiving yards, three touchdowns and 28 receptions on 44 total targets.

On Sunday, he gets a date with the Green Bay Packers and their sixth-ranked defense. Green Bay is seventh against the pass through four games. We all witnessed Tate go off against Dallas, which his high target share and role on this Lions offense makes him a must start going forward.

The Packers rank 14th on offense and eighth-overall defensively, allowing 326.3 yards per game, along with 218.5 passing yards, 107.8 rushing yards and 20.8 total points thus far. Tate will have plenty of opportunities early and often against the Packers as he leads the Lions in receiving yards and receptions with 389 and 28, respectively.

Prediction: 95 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 7 receptions
