3. Aguero, Sturridge score as Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-2

Every Premier League weekend there’s one fixture that everyone wants to watch no matter who they support. This weekend that fixture sees Manchester City travel to Anfield to take on a Liverpool side that are yet to lose in the Premier League.

The Reds looked like they were going to lose that stat last weekend away at Chelsea but Daniel Sturridge produced a piece of magic to rescue a point for Jurgen Klopp’s team. Despite that goal, Sturridge still had to settle for a place on the bench against Napoli in midweek.

The English striker could make a return to the starting lineup on Sunday though and face another of his old clubs. It’s hard to look past Sturridge right now even with the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah all available.

When strikers find their scoring touch it’s almost foolish not to play them and right now Sturridge has that touch. He’s already notched three goals this season from limited appearance time and his goal against Chelsea showed why he’s been so highly regarded in the past.

Manchester City are in fine form themselves with four wins from their last four matches. This means that they’ll be confident of getting a result on Sunday at one of the few grounds they failed to win at last season.

If this match is anything like the 4-3 at Anfield in 2017-18 then fans of both sides are in for a great game. It’s probably going to be more cagey to begin with than that match but it won’t be long before someone breaks the deadlock and changes the game plan for both teams.

Sturridge will grab another goal against one of his former clubs while Sergio Aguero and David Silva will net for Manchester City in a match that will finish 3-2 to the Light Blues.
