WR: Donte Moncrief, Jacksonville Jaguars

Honestly, Donte Moncrief is more “average” than “good”, and it seems like Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole are the most talented wide receivers on the Jacksonville Jaguars. But in fantasy football, it’s all about targets and touchdowns, and it seems like Moncrief has the best chance of putting up numbers in the Jaguars offense.

Even when Blake Bortles has an awful game, he still throws for a ton of yardage, racking up extra garbage time points to salvage his fantasy performance. Bortles had four interceptions in the Jaguars ugly loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he threw for 430 yards. Interceptions don’t hurt wide receivers in fantasy, so Moncrief benefited greatly from the 61 passing attempts.

Moncrief only turned in 6 receptions from his 15 targets, but 76 yards isn’t a bad fantasy output for a wide receiver who is more of a bench stash than anything. Recommending starting Moncrief in a given week is dangerous, especially since it’s unclear which Jaguars receiver will go off in a given week.

However, Moncrief keeps getting targets. He had 109 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the New York Jets, and he’s averaging 50 receiving yards per game. The man is up-and-down, but he’s worth taking a flier on after receiving a whopping 15 targets last week.
