Here is your guide to the best games of the week, including Georgia traveling to LSU and Michigan hosting Wisconsin with College GameDay in attendance.

College football is officially past the halfway point. The Week 7 schedule isn’t stacked, but there are a few very meaningful conference games for fans to keep an eye on, along with several tests for top 25 teams that shouldn’t be overlooked.

In what seems to be a weekly occurrence, the SEC will deliver the game of the week when Georgia travels to LSU on Saturday. LSU is coming off a disappointing loss but will look to bounce back against a loaded Georgia squad.

Oregon will be fighting to keep their Pac-12 title hopes alive when hosting Washington. Both teams have had successful starts to the season, but that hasn’t come without some ups and downs.

The Big Ten will be the the center of attention this weekend, with two marquee games on the schedule. Wisconsin will head to the Big House to face off against Michigan and Michigan State travels to Happy Valley for a showdown with Penn State.

Although the schedule isn’t loaded across the board, Week 7 should not disappoint. Here is your guide to catching all these games this weekend.

Michigan State at (8) Penn State – 3:30 p.m. ET – Big Ten Network

Over the last five meetings, Michigan State holds a 4-1 advantage over the Nittany Lions. With Penn State favored by 14.5 points this weekend, they look poised to turn their recent struggles against the Spartans around.

Michigan State is coming off a tough home loss to Northwestern and will look to rebound against Penn State. On paper, Michigan State dominated the game by out-gaining the Wildcats, allowing only 8 total rushing yards, won the turnover battle, and held a 34/26 time of possession advantage. All that said, the Spartans still were unable to escape with a victory and untimely turnovers, along with big plays, were the reason for the loss.

Penn State has had some extra time to prepare for the Spartans, but they are also looking to rebound after losing their last contest against Ohio State. While they were unable to take down the Buckeyes, Penn State is still in the hunt for a spot in the College Football Playoffs. The Nittany Lions field one of the best all-around teams in college football, with an offense that can beat you in the air or on the ground and a defense that regularly smothers opponents. Although Michigan State enters the game with the nation’s top-ranked rushing defense, Penn State should have no trouble finding some holes by forcing the Spartans to respect their passing attack.

Michigan State has played Penn State tough over the years, but I expect the Nittany Lions to be prepared after the extra week of preparation and cover the spread at home on Saturday.
