From late-inning comebacks, extra-inning thrillers and crushing defeats, history is often made in the League Championship Series.

When the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers begin the League Championship Series on Friday, they will look to add to a long history of thrilling moments.

With a pennant and trip to the World Series at stake, the LCS has witnessed miraculous series comebacks and ninth inning rallies that have come to define baseball history. There have been extra inning thrillers and unheralded players coming off the bench to play the hero for their ball club.

Rivals have squared off in exciting contests, while long-suffering franchises have suffered heartbreaking defeats.

As the 2018 LCS begins, with the Brewers taking on the Dodgers in the National League, and the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros playing for the American League pennant, another chapter in LCS history will be written.
