Nominees for Album of the Year are Cardi B, Invasion of Privacy; Drake, Scorpion; J. Cole, KOD; Migos, Culture II; and The Carters, Everything is Love.

When it comes to MVP of the Year nominees are Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Drake, J. Cole, and Travis Scott. Lyricist of the Year nominees are Childish Gambino, Drake, J. DJ of the Year nominees are Calvin Harris, DJ Envy, DJ Drama, DJ Khaled, and DJ Mustard. Producer of the Year nominees are Ben Billions, DJ Esco, DJ Mustard, Metro Boomin, and Pharrell Williams. DJ Khaled has won the DJ of the Year Award two years in a row (2016, 2017), will he go for the three-peat this year against strong competition? Can Calvin Harris take his first Hip Hop Award home? DJ Mustard took the award back-to-back in 2014 and 2015 and will be looking for a comeback as well.

Hustler of the Year nominees are Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Drake, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Travis Scott. Best New Hip-Hop Artist nominees are Blocboy JB, Juice Wrld, Lil Baby, Rich the Kid, and XXXTentacion.
