High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Markelle Fultz (at BOS, $5,000): Needs 22.9 fantasy points What do we make of the No. 1 overall pick in 2017? You may look to me for expert advice, but I honestly have no idea. He showed some life at the end of last season, including a 50 fantasy point game against the Bucks in the final game of the season. And there were positive signs in the preseason. But the final week of last season and this year’s preseason matters little on opening night. Fultz will be up against the best and deepest team in the East on opening night. He has the potential to have an outstanding game if he’s playing with confidence and next to the right players. He also has the potential to be completely invisible. For the price, it’s tough to put any real trust in him. Diagnosis: High ceiling as a backup but the risk doesn’t outweigh the reward. A mystery box if there ever was one

Terry Rozier (vs PHI, $4,5000): Needs 20.6 fantasy points For a safer option at a cheaper price, go with Rozier. We saw what he’s capable of as the starter, and while he won’t be afforded those same opportunities with a healthy Kyrie Irving in the lineup, he’ll get plenty of run as the sixth man. And with how deep the Celtics are, he’ll not only get plenty of run, he’ll be playing with some outstanding players. Diagnosis: Rozier is more of a sure-thing than Fultz, even if his ceiling isn’t as high.

Quick Hits

Raymond Felton (at GSW, $3,7000): A solid low-cost option if Westbrook sits. Will be the back-up point guard and get plenty of scoring/assist opportunities. Not worth it if Westbrook plays.
