Latavius Murray, Minnesota Vikings

Stats: 24 carries, 155 yards and one touchdown

With Dalvin Cook out of the lineup, Latavius Murray had a huge performance against the Arizona Cardinals. The Minnesota Vikings grabbed an early lead and fed Murray the ball. His 6.5 yards per carry helped the Vikings run down the clock.

Cook is the more explosive of the two Vikings runners. However, he has been slowed all year by a hamstring injury. This injury has put his status for each game in question. Murray has taken advantage of this opportunity over the past two weeks.

Minnesota has a solid schedule coming up for their running backs. The New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions all have some issues stopping the run.

Murray would be a strong flex play should we get some clarity on Cook’s situation. The potential return of Cook is the only thing really holding down Murray’s fantasy value. However, it’s getting to the point where we can question Cook’s durability.

If you’re in need of running back help it would be a wise move to grab Murray. He has the potential to be a major contributor should Cook continue to struggle with his  health.
